If you’re new to the concept – a forest garden or food forest is nothing to do with gardening in a forest, but creating a multilayered garden that mimics a young woodland – where plants are chosen to work in harmony with one another, produce a diverse range of foods in a way in which increases the productivity of the space.

Dorset Forest Garden was first created in 2014 and contains a diverse range of plants from apples to quince, from blackberries to blue berries, from chives through to day lilies.  Plants have been chosen because they are a food source – for us or other creatures like our bees, or because they aid the health of the surrounding plants.  The key aim is to have a productive and healthy growing system.

We are currently developing a range of produce from the forest garden and will be during 1018 start introducing a range of food.
